Hardin Fretum is a fretum — a strait — a narrow channel connecting two larger bodies of liquid — on Titan, 246 km across, centred at 57.3° N, 42.2° E. It is the 65th largest named feature on Titan and the 1st largest of its class there.
Salvor Hardin, fictional character in Isaac Asimov's Foundation Series, first Mayor of the planet Terminus. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2015, under the theme it applies to every fretum on Titan.
