Bayta Fretum is a fretum — a strait — a narrow channel connecting two larger bodies of liquid — on Titan, 165 km across, centred at 73.0° N, 48.8° E. It is the 97th largest named feature on Titan and the 3rd largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

Bayta Darell, fictional character in Isaac Asimov's Foundation Series, wife of the Trader Tran Darell and grandmother of famous author Arcadia “Arcady” Darell. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2015, under the theme it applies to every fretum on Titan.
