Bazaruto Facula is a facula — a bright spot — on Titan, 215 km across, centred at 11.6° N, 16.1° W. It is the 74th largest named feature on Titan and the 8th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Mozambique island. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2006, under the theme it applies to every facula on Titan. Of the 15 features of this class catalogued on Titan, the naming categories run Greek (2), India (1), Hawaii (1), Japan (1).
