Vaughan is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on The Moon, 3 km across, centred at 41.4° S, 171.8° W in the Oppenheimer quadrangle. It is the 1847th largest named feature on The Moon and the 1516th largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

Dorothy; American mathematician (1910-2008). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2019, under the theme it applies to every crater on The Moon.
