What Sinus Honoris is
Sinus Honoris is a sinus — a bay-shaped dark plain — on The Moon, 112 km across, centred at 11.7° N, 17.9° E in the Julius Caesar quadrangle. It is the 303rd largest named feature on The Moon and the 10th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
"Bay of Honor." The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1976, under the theme it applies to every sinus on The Moon.
What it would take to settle Sinus Honoris
The Moon scores 29.1 as a world. That number is the same for every square metre of it — but sunlight, water, radiation and the ground under your feet are not. This is the same question asked at 11.7° N, 17.9° E.
What this spot has going for it is earth link — near side — Earth stands 69° above the horizon and never moves. What works against it is water — outside the ice-bearing latitudes.
