Amazonis Planitia is a planitia — a low plain — on Mars, 2,809 km across, centred at 25.7° N, 162.9° W in the Amazonis quadrangle. It is the 13th largest named feature on Mars and the 4th largest of its class there.

Classical albedo feature name; home of the Amazons. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1973, under the theme it applies to every planitia on Mars. Of the 10 features of this class catalogued on Mars, the naming categories run Greek (8), Latin (2).
