Fimbulthul Catena is a catena — a chain of craters — on Callisto, 287 km across, centred at 8.2° N, 64.8° W. It is the 8th largest named feature on Callisto and the 3rd largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Norse river. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1997, under the theme it applies to every catena on Callisto.
