Herennia is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on Vesta, 22.3 km across, centred at 72.4° S, 10.3° E. It is the 49th largest named feature on Vesta and the 33rd largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

Herennia Etruscilla; Roman Empress, wife of Emperor Decius, mother of Emperors Etruscus Herrenius and Hostilian (c. 250). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2014, under the theme it applies to every crater on Vesta.
