Alypia is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on Vesta, 15.2 km across, centred at 70.2° S, 139.2° E. It is the 78th largest named feature on Vesta and the 62nd largest of its class there.
Roman noblewoman, daughter of Anthemius and Aelia Euphemia, wife of Ricimer (fl. 467-472). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2014, under the theme it applies to every crater on Vesta.
