What Fausta is
Fausta is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on Vesta, 3.1 km across, centred at 25.4° S, 99.8° E. It is the 101st largest named feature on Vesta and the 85th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Flavia Maxima; Roman Empress, wife of Constantine I, executed by him (d. 326). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2014, under the theme it applies to every crater on Vesta.
