Perpennia is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on Vesta, 21.4 km across, centred at 23.0° S, 101.2° W. It is the 54th largest named feature on Vesta and the 38th largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

Roman vestal virgin (c. 100-70 B.C.). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2014, under the theme it applies to every crater on Vesta.
