Nam Byeong-Cheol is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on The Moon, 132 km across, centred at 14.7° S, 123.4° W in the Lucretius quadrangle. It is the 220th largest named feature on The Moon and the 92nd largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

Korean astronomer and mathematician of the late Joseon Dynasty (1817-1863). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2024, under the theme it applies to every crater on The Moon.
