Tryggvadottir is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on Mercury, 31 km across, centred at 89.6° N, 171.6° W in the Borealis quadrangle. It is the 520th largest named feature on Mercury and the 400th largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

Nína (Jónína); Icelandic artist (1913-1968). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2012, under the theme it applies to every crater on Mercury.
