Iamuna Chaos is a chaos — terrain broken into a jumble of blocks and hollows — on Mars, 21.7 km across, centred at 0.3° S, 40.6° W in the Margaritifer Sinus quadrangle. It is the 1240th largest named feature on Mars and the 29th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Classical albedo feature name. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2006, under the theme it applies to every chaos on Mars. Of the 29 features of this class catalogued on Mars, the naming categories run Greek (16), Latin (12), Turkey (1).
