Thallo Mons is a mons — a mountain — on Venus, 40 km across, centred at 74.5° N, 129.0° W in the Pandrosos Dorsa quadrangle. It is the 1169th largest named feature on Venus and the 114th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Greek goddess of vegetation flowering (Spring Hora). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1985, under the theme it applies to every mons on Venus. Of the 117 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run Greek (8), Egypt (8), Hopi (5), India (4).
What it would take to settle Thallo Mons
