Chasca Vallis is a vallis — a valley — on Venus, 400 km across, centred at 52.8° S, 1.0° W in the Mylitta Fluctus quadrangle. It is the 476th largest named feature on Venus and the 37th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Quechua name for planet Venus. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1997, under the theme it applies to every vallis on Venus. Of the 72 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run Egypt (3), China (3), India (3), Mayan (2).
