Where the name comes from

Sinhalese (Sri Lanka) word for snake. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2019, under the theme it applies to every facula on Mercury. Of the 29 features of this class catalogued on Mercury, the naming categories run India (2), Nigeria (2), Philippines (2), Ireland (1).
