Pachamama Corona is a corona — an oval feature raised by rising material beneath the crust — on Venus, 130 km across, centred at 36.0° S, 21.8° E in the Kaiwan Fluctus quadrangle. It is the 908th largest named feature on Venus and the 300th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Incan earth goddess. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1997, under the theme it applies to every corona on Venus. Of the 340 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run India (16), Greek (14), Celtic (12), Roman (11).
