What Eigin Corona is
Eigin Corona is a corona — an oval feature raised by rising material beneath the crust — on Venus, 200 km across, centred at 5.0° S, 175.0° E in the Diana Chasma quadrangle. It is the 755th largest named feature on Venus and the 202nd largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Celtic fertility goddess. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1994, under the theme it applies to every corona on Venus. Of the 340 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run India (16), Greek (14), Celtic (12), Roman (11).
What it would take to settle Eigin Corona
