Pampu Facula is a facula — a bright spot — on Mercury, 120 km across, centred at 57.8° S, 31.8° W in the Discovery quadrangle. It is the 246th largest named feature on Mercury and the 5th largest of its class there.
Tamil (SE India and NE Sri Lanka) word for snake. Another spelling is âpambuâ. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2019, under the theme it applies to every facula on Mercury.
