Gipul Catena is a catena — a chain of craters — on Callisto, 641 km across, centred at 68.5° N, 54.2° W. It is the 4th largest named feature on Callisto and the 1st largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Norse river. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1979, under the theme it applies to every catena on Callisto.
