Vasudhara Corona is a corona — an oval feature raised by rising material beneath the crust — on Venus, 160 km across, centred at 43.2° N, 2.7° E in the Bereghinya Planitia quadrangle. It is the 845th largest named feature on Venus and the 262nd largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Buddhist female Bodhisattva of abundance. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1994, under the theme it applies to every corona on Venus. Of the 340 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run India (16), Greek (14), Celtic (12), Roman (11).
