Gerd Tholi is a tholus — a small domical mountain or hill — on Venus, 50 km across, centred at 54.5° S, 68.5° W in the Godiva quadrangle. It is the 1104th largest named feature on Venus and the 40th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Scandinavian sky maiden. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1997, under the theme it applies to every tholus on Venus. Of the 62 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run Greek (5), Slavic (4), New Zealand (3), Japan (3).
