Cerridwen Corona is a corona — an oval feature raised by rising material beneath the crust — on Venus, 217 km across, centred at 49.6° N, 158.2° W in the Nemesis Tessera quadrangle. It is the 730th largest named feature on Venus and the 187th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Celtic nature goddess. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1997, under the theme it applies to every corona on Venus. Of the 340 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run India (16), Greek (14), Celtic (12), Roman (11).
What it would take to settle Cerridwen Corona
