Bassorah Fossa is a fossa — a long, narrow depression — on Enceladus, 75 km across, centred at 39.8° N, 19.9° W. It is the 29th largest named feature on Enceladus and the 7th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Town from which Sindbad embarked on his 3rd voyage. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1982, under the theme it applies to every fossa on Enceladus.
What it would take to settle Bassorah Fossa
