Tharp is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on The Moon, 13.5 km across, centred at 30.6° S, 145.6° E in the Gagarin quadrangle. It is the 1645th largest named feature on The Moon and the 1345th largest of its class there.

Marie; Geologist and oceanographer, created first comprehensive map of the ocean floor and is credited with discovering the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (1920-2006). The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2015, under the theme it applies to every crater on The Moon.
