Catena Sylvester is a catena — a chain of craters — on The Moon, 139 km across, centred at 80.0° N, 83.1° W in the Brianchon quadrangle. It is the 205th largest named feature on The Moon and the 9th largest of its class there.
Named from nearby crater. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1976, under the theme it applies to every catena on The Moon. Of the 20 features of this class catalogued on The Moon, the naming categories run Germany (3), Soviet (2), Roman (2), American (2).
