Tartarus Colles is a collis — a small hill or knob — on Mars, 1,673 km across, centred at 21.2° N, 175.2° E in the Elysium quadrangle. It is the 39th largest named feature on Mars and the 1st largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

From albedo feature at 2N, 183W. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1985, under the theme it applies to every collis on Mars. Of the 22 features of this class catalogued on Mars, the naming categories run Greek (12), Latin (7), Roman (2), Turkey (1).
