We ila is a crater — a circular depression, almost always an impact scar — on Ganymede, 36 km across, centred at 12.4° S, 69.7° E. It is the 168th largest named feature on Ganymede and the 101st largest of its class there.

Where the name comes from

Akkadian god from whom the hero Atra-hasis was created. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 2000, under the theme it applies to every crater on Ganymede.
