What Podaga Tholus is
Podaga Tholus is a tholus — a small domical mountain or hill — on Venus, 40 km across, centred at 56.3° S, 2.0° E in the Lada Terra quadrangle. It is the 1168th largest named feature on Venus and the 46th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Slavic weather goddess. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1997, under the theme it applies to every tholus on Venus. Of the 62 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run Greek (5), Slavic (4), New Zealand (3), Japan (3).
What it would take to settle Podaga Tholus
