Marzyana Corona is a corona — an oval feature raised by rising material beneath the crust — on Venus, 550 km across, centred at 53.0° S, 67.5° E in the Fredegonde quadrangle. It is the 358th largest named feature on Venus and the 18th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
West Slavic grain and fertility goddess. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1997, under the theme it applies to every corona on Venus. Of the 340 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run India (16), Greek (14), Celtic (12), Roman (11).
