Bachue Corona is a corona — an oval feature raised by rising material beneath the crust — on Venus, 463 km across, centred at 73.3° N, 98.6° W in the Metis Regio quadrangle. It is the 434th largest named feature on Venus and the 36th largest of its class there.
Where the name comes from
Chibcha (Colombia) goddess of fertility. The International Astronomical Union approved the name in 1985, under the theme it applies to every corona on Venus. Of the 340 features of this class catalogued on Venus, the naming categories run India (16), Greek (14), Celtic (12), Roman (11).
